San Diego County Fair - DEL MAR

I didn’t take many photos since we planned to return, but I ended up getting sick that day. I did, however, post some pictures from the woodwork exhibit and some paintings and drawings. I’m continually amazed by the talent on display! As we strolled through the exhibit halls, we found that the vendors were quite aggressive; I even pretended not to speak English to avoid dealing with them—LOL! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit, especially sitting in the garden area; the weather was perfect for our outing. We ended the night listening to an amazing cover band playing 80s music called Equinox. They sounded so good that we ended up staying longer than we planned. We can’t wait for next year!

We strolled through the grounds without any issues since it was still early and crowds were light. We visited over the Fourth of July weekend, although the weather didn’t cooperate. There were only a few activities for young children, and most of the rides and games seemed geared towards older kids. The best options for our son were the petting zoo, the carousel, and a few small carnival games. Be aware that ticketing is electronic, so make sure to have your phone charged if you plan on riding or playing. Food was on the pricey side, but overall, it was a fun experience for the older crowd. Unfortunately, there wasn't much for little kids to enjoy.

I visited this fair for the first time, and I had a fantastic experience. There were numerous stalls and plenty of attractions to explore. The fair featured rides for kids, along with farm animals and a petting zoo for the little ones. Additionally, there was a garden show and an art and photography gallery. Many vendors were selling their products, and there was even a heroes area. I can't forget to mention the abundance of food stands as well. However, the food prices were quite high, so if you plan to visit, make sure to set a budget to avoid overspending.

We had a great time at the 2022 san diego County fair in del mar. Monster trucks, good food, fun rides and all. We recommend getting a bundle at costco 4x adults , 40 tickets and parking ticket for 95.00, or buying ahead of time so that you may receive discounts

Always a must go during the summer months for the sights, sounds and tastes. Try the not so secret speakeasy called destination unknown for fun cocktails. The line starts right next to the “green flash” brewery with all the flamingos (opens at 3pm and you Don’t have to pay to get in and it’s Not cash only) You’ll get a wrist band and then make your way up to the top of the race track overlook. Everything is pricey but worth it for the day.
