Wonderful as always, lots of coffee even provided refills for our take out cups. Polite fast and bilingual
Right on TCH and prices are reasonable. Food is not homemade but is good. Large portions, good value. Clean, well maintained and friendly staff.
Old style truckstop food. large portions and good variety. huge breakfasts and lots of seating. we missed the exit and had to loop back. the highway has changed since the last time I was there. right at the new brunswick/quebec border
Some friends and I stopped at the Irving for lunch on our way home to New Brunswick after visiting Montreal. We sat ourselves, and it wasn't very busy, being 2:30 in the afternoon. Our waitress, Nicole C, came to our table and was not happy to serve us in English. She took our orders, and brought us our drinks. Then the long wait began. We were a table of 4. One had ordered a hot turkey sandwich, two ordered fish and chips, and I ordered the clubhouse sandwich. The hot turkey arrived at the table. Ten minutes later one of the fish and chips arrived. Fifteen minutes later (after watching her stand behind the counter and roll her eyes at us several times) the second fish and chips arrived without coleslaw, my friend had to request it even though it was to come with the meal. Another fifteen minutes later Nicole C arrived at the table again and tried to serve me fish and chips. I said no, I ordered the clubhouse. She had to ask me again if it was on white or whole wheat. I was flabbergasted, I had watched her write down all of our orders the first time! By the time I finally got my food my friends has all eaten and were stuck waiting for me. I have never had such horrible service anywhere before, and hope to never again. I do not blame the kitchen staff, they were pumping out orders left and right. Nicole C is a horrible waitress, rude, unfriendly, and because of her I will not be back, and will make sure all of my travelling friends hear this, and spread the word.
