Cafeteria Atozte - Deba

Very good prices and very large portions. Enough to eat a plate and not have dinner. Good music and adequate atmosphere but a lot of noise and a small venue. If you want good food and in large quantities it is a good option. Kid-friendliness: There are many children and large families in the premises. Very convinient for a break in a beach day. Good for lunch after a beach morning and before a beach afternoon!

We came to deba for a bite to eat and the location of this cafe is good but we would have rather eaten crisps on the park bench opposite! I can never usually be bothered to review a place on holiday unless it is exceptionally good. but this time i feel i should warn people of how bad this place is. I ordered scrambled eggs and mushrooms, which was undercooked and oily and tasted horrible. I had too spoonfuls and felt nauseous the rest of the day. I had a salad which ended up having ham on it which i didn't want so i asked for the ham to be taken off and they missed a few bits which remained in the salad. My friend had the chicken and croquettes with fried eggs. The chicken was overcooked and like hard rubber. the plate was full of oil. Overall i left deba feeling sick and wish i had just stuck to coffee and ice-cream. even there coffee wasn't great.

The location is great, right in the midle of the town Square. You have front row seats to all the hustle and bustle in Deba. And you can see all the socialising going on late afternoon and in the evenings. Wonderful. Very nice service from one, very friendly, English speaking waitress.
