‪chimes Far Eastern Cuisine‬

Been to this place a long time ago and have wanted to come back so bad! We liked the ambiance and the staff was polite. Place was clean and organized as well. Looking forward to coming back very soon

I remember hearing about Chimes 5-6 years back when I was searching for Places in Dubai which serve Venisson. Always had it on the Radar but never got to trying the place. The order came in promised time, it was hot and packed well. Finally we tried a delivery Order from Chimes. The menu seems to have changed quite a lot over the years, can't find the Venisson anymore and while remaining Asian in theme , they cover food from various south Asian countries. So we tried a mix of various cuisines by ordering Thai Fried Rice, Indonesian Mee Goreng, Japanese Chicken Teriyaki and Butter Fried CuttleFish. One thing which became clear was that these are not your authentic flavours but the food was tasty. Chicken Teriyaki wasn't really Teriyaki but it was an oyster sauce inspired manchurian which was tasty. The mee Goreng had none of the traditional Indonesian or Malaysian flavors, but they were good vegetable noodles with a Soy heavy profile. The star of the night was the CuttleFish, it kept reminding us of the salted egg flavour which we enjoy a lot. It's a dry dish with fried crispy cuttle fish along with bell pepper slivers and very Umami'ish flavor. One of the best dishes of seafood around Dubai. This was a rockstar dish. Thai fried rice was the disappointment of the night, it was dry and the crispy vegetables did little to go over the dryness : It was a good experience overall hinged primarily on the awesome cuttlefish. And we would be trying them again definitely.
