For the price of my meal there should be much better tasting food near by. Also the young lady at the cash register seemed a bit impatient and rude when my friend and I were paying.
Second time in this ancient and charming place. All the dishes are scrumptious and we all polished off our dinner.
Charming tea house in an enchanting old building. Here you can enjoy tea with cakes or lunch or even both. There are gifts for sale up front, and some of the old furniture on display are also for sale. Food is I imagine an old style family meal designed to go with the tea they serve, great way to chill!
This is the first of the restaurant's two locations. It's quieter than the other one and has more of a local, slightly less touristy feel. However it respects the layout of the original house, with living spaces in the front and back connected by a central courtyard, and there's lots of antique pieces throughout to appreciate. The lionhead meatball was a good lunch set. The daikon and pork ribs weren't my favorite because I'm not a fan of fried pork ribs in the soup as they end up soggy.
Fantastic tea room with amazing food as well! Very high quality! They get different teas matching with their menus as well, it was overall very good experience.
