Bidra med feedbackTypical soy milk breakfast restaurant of Taiwan. I think this place has grown popular among tourists, but they kept their way of doing and a lot of locals still go. Ask for the English menu and find a table. Then go back to the counter to order and pay. Wait for your food at the counter and bring it to your table. Cheap and very tasty. I don’t understand the comments mentioning the hygiene/cleanliness, everything was very clean when I went.
The soy milk and salty soy milk doesn't taste nice nor special at all. Wouldn't recommend those. However, the dumplings are a must eat. The meat in the dumplings are really fresh and tasty.
The food was quick, hot, and fresh. The breakfast items here have a wide variety, but offer great variety on handheld or quick bites. The soup dumplings do not disappoint. The scallion rolls with egg are tasty. The scallion sandwich ? was a bit dry and bland, but with a little chili sauce from the table and it perked it right up. The fan Tuan rice burrito was exceptional. The double fried oil stick inside was a great crunch and texture contrast. The soy milk and peanut milk were great additions to washing all that down.
Our very first breakfast in Taipei and it was a good eye opener to their local breakfast. Their soup dumplings were exploding with savoury soup and the pork filling was chunky. Beancurd was smooth but the youtiao wasn't crispy enough. Generally a decent taiwanese breakfast and good to try it once.
Came here to try a traditional Taiwanese breakfast and it didn’t disappoint! I highly recommend the Xiao long bao which were fat and juicy. Very popular item that you can see almost every table orders one. I also recommend trying the salty bean curd with egg seems to be a unique item only found in Taiwan! It’s like a savoury version of the usual sweet dessert version. Takes abit of getting used to but it’s still tasty!
