99 Restaurants - Danvers

Fantastic server and food was solid for the Nines. Balsamic chicken was moist and the mashed potatoes were good. Kids meals are a decent size and typical. Drinks aren't included in the kids meals as a heads up. I miss the days of the $9.99 entrees. Mudslide martini was pretty good my wife said.

Went here because it?s close by our house and advertise as a ?Pub? but their lot always seems empty. I?ve been to some real pubs and this shouldn?t have the word on their sign. Selection of beer was poor and while the menu boasts they have a special beer made for them alone by a local brewery? It was out of stock. Tried a seasonal Sam Adams but didn?t enjoy it. Ended up having a soda with dinner. Dinner was interesting at best. Started with a popcorn appetizer which was placed on the table when we sat down. I ordered a seafood medley with a rice pilaf. The medley came in a boat shaped dish that had melted cheese over fish and scallop chunks with a half inch of water over that. I swear-every bite had to be dried off before eating. I made it about half way through before eating the rice and giving up. My Wife had the fish and chips which she said were bland. We decided to have dessert so the evening wouldn?t be a total loss. We had two different tarts and they were OK. Probably won?t return.

I went in ordered a Soup and a Soda. 15 minutes later my waitress came back with the soda, I then ordered my entree. 20 minutes later my dinner and soup came at the same time. The steak was overcooked, the chicken was overcooked and cold. I told the waitress about the food, she did not apologize or even seem to care, I paid my bill, and left. I do not think I will be back.

Food was really good atmosphere not bad service good but very short-handed staffing unfortunately. I guess that's happening everywhere and I don't want to hold it against them, our server was very very nice

This is a good place for an American homestyle meal. Nothing fancy to write home about, but reliable and good. Friendly service. Clean place. No complaints.
