Bidra med feedbackI came to lunch with a friend and it was busy on a Sunday. The restaurant is not that big, probably about 10 tables or something. So big parties will definitely have to wait. The parking situation could be a bit rough considering that it is a small plaza with other restaurants. When we waited for our table, it was very obvious that almost all cars parked were waiting for this place. Let's just say wait was worth it! The food was so good and authentic. We ordered a cup of garlic rice $5, Bangus Sisig $26.25), and the pancit palabok $18.25). The garlic rice was SOOOO DELICIOUS. Omg I imagine eating it as I write this review. The cup was really huge, so good that we didn't get a bowl. It is definitely enough for 2-3 people. The bangus sisig is this fried fish that then de-bone, stir the fish again with sauce and aromas. I've never had anything like that, especially for the standard pig pig pig pig. I was so surprised by this fish, it came on a steaming hot plate and only FYI it definitely makes your clothes smells afterwards - a tad salty for preference, but a ton of taste. The pancite was so good! Very different from the dried pancite we are all used to. It's like Chinese places have fried bovine noodle vs wet. But the Filipino version. I will definitely come back and recommend this place for your filipino desire!
Chibog lives his name. Full belly from the time you scrub until you leave the chair. Bangus Sisig is a must. Always a dish coming from a sizzling hot stone is fire! This special milk fish has the right mix and taste. You have creamy and really lots of pepper. Squeeze the lemon and the good to go. I love Chibog!
Finding a good Filipino restaurant is not as common as you hope in the bay and this place is a jewel. The food was absolutely delicious and the service staff friendly. The restaurant is small, so if you want to eat there, I would recommend getting there a little early. It's worth it! Food: 5/5
Best Filipino food in the bay hands down. No frills, no expensive dishes, portions are generous. I always bring the city of Filipinos and they are always happy. This place is an institution.
Found this spot by accident because we were supposed to go to another spot but the wait time to be seated was long.Regardless, the food was surprisingly great! We ordered sizzling pork sisig and Tocilog (tocino, sinangag (garlic fried rice , and itlog (2 eggs . I was pleasantly surprised by how well the sisig was crisped up. I do believe they used their lechon kawali and dressed it for sisig. The entree was porky, oily, and super savory. It was balanced because it had enough tanginess prior to putting lemon juice all over.Their portions are huge!!! I'd say its 2-3 people per entree depending how hungry everyone is.The Tocilog was great but the star was the tocino. It tasted like a Filipino bbq. Not too sweet like most tocino. The staff were attentive and very helpful. If I was a local, I'd keep coming and order a catering size of the sisig! They got a vegetarian version: Tofu sisig!Vegetarian options: Tofu sisig was an option here and I was highly considering ordering this but I had to practice restraint. XD
