Isla Co. Bishop Arts

I’ve been to Isla Co four times and I just can’t get on board. I like all the cocktails I’ve had here (especially the smoke show), but I have not loved most of the food I have had here. Just doesn’t feel like I’m eating something worth what I pay for. Super cute restaurant and they always play good music, but sadly I usually leave disappointed.

Great menu and excellent service, but fell short a bit on execution. Poached eggs on the Benedict were overdone and the Benedict was missing an ingredient listed on the menu. But overall a very enjoyable experience and would go back.

My dear friend and I grabbed brunch on Saturday before seeing a matinee at Bishop Arts Theater and this meal was an experience! The food was very savory and generous. We enjoyed very strong coffees, I got a macchiato, and a small plate of fries with a black garlic aioli. We chose the benedicts, mine with hollandaise and avocados and hers with salmon and both were incredible. They are known for their cocktails so we will have to come back and try them another day. Note: they have designated parking on the side of the restaurant, which was super nice.

Tried the fish sandy and the spring salad with chicken and they were both pretty flavorless and unimpressive. The salad had wilted greens. Was expecting a lot more quality for that price point and they took forever to get our order out. Coffee was good!

I don’t think I’ve ever received worst service. I made reservations for 7pm and was there 7 on the dot. I came from Carrollton specifically for the seasonal martinis only. Had the date planned for two weeks. We waited an hour before I finally got fed up and left. Our food was never brought to us that entire time and 50 minutes into waiting they bring my boyfriend his canned beer… 45 minutes for a canned beer. This place only has 10 tables and only 8 were sat. Under no circumstances should we have had to wait that long. We watched everyone around us get plates after plates and flights after flights and we had water. The entire time. Just absolutely disappointing because I was so incredibly excited.
