Bidra med feedbackMy fiancé brought me here for dinner and my first ever experience with Ethiopian food, and we agree that there is just nothing quite like this in Dallas. The food was absolutely delicious: spongy, tasty injera and the most flavorful and exciting veggies I've had since moving here. The lamb stew was rich and deep with a subtle, sneaky spice. Jonas was so welcoming, friendly, and informative: he gave great recommendations and was so kind to talk us through the different dishes, treat us to sambsas, and make us feel so welcome. In short: come here!!!
It 's basically a small grocery store selling Ethiopian food and wares that has a kitchen. They do the majority of their food business to go but have 2 small tables should you decide to eat there but it 's cold in winter and super hot in summer. I always get the veggie platter which comes with 5 different vegetable dishes served on top of injera depending on what they are cooking that day. (May include various lentil versions, green beans, beets, potatoes and cabbage, stuffed jalapeños, or collards . Portions are large. You can also grab your favorite dishes from the fridges to heat at home (one fridge with veggie meals, the other with meat meals which are kept separately. Meal preparation takes about 10 minutes but if you don 't want to wait, you can always call ahead. Excellent food quality and service from the friendly owner.Vegetarian options: Try the vegetarian platter !Parking: Strip mall parking lot.
For many years, we have been using Abeba Foods To Go for our events catering needs and this is the first time we are providing a public feedback. At every event, our guests give us wonderful compliments on the quality of food. Abeba and her staff are friendly, accommodating and the price is very reasonable. Abeba and her staff are fantastic and we are happy to do business with them. Abeba also helps the community in so many great ways.
Generous portions accompanied by plenty of injera; the flavors are delightful. The staff is also very friendly. I will definitely return!
As someone who is half Ethiopian, I can confidently say that this restaurant offers the most authentic experience you’ll find. The food is fantastic—great injera, tips, and aletcha. I've been there five times and have never had a bad experience, regardless of the random service each time. It’s consistently good. I have no affiliation with the place; just check my reviews—no nonsense!
