Bidra med feedbackFood was just okay. Chicken was dry and lacked seasoning. Most of the sides were barely warm. Once the food was delivered to the table that was the end of service. No drink refills. We had to ask for our dessert which was casually dropped off as she zippedby. I?m confused at how they got such rave reviews by others unless they don?t dine out much. Won?t be back and certainly willnot recommend.
So I hadn?t been here since I was a little kid. Read the recent reviews and figured I?d give it a try anyway. I cannot believe all the complaining in some of these reviews?whining because its not all you can eat anymore? Dude if what they bring you out isnot enough you need to go on a diet! Whining about it being over $20? Seriously? You get two entrees, half a dozen vegetables, bread, dessert and a drink. Its not 1975 anymore guys. Prices go up over time. This place was DELICIOUS! True Southern food.Much better than Cracker Barrel. The best part was the friendly Southern hospitality though!
I was in town for a wedding and stayed at this hotel, which boasts a fantastic location in the heart of the city. The room was new and clean, which was a plus. Upon check-in, you’re required to sign a form agreeing not to smoke, bring pets, or make noise—fine by me. However, I was disappointed to find out that there is no housekeeping service unless you specifically request it. This was a letdown, and I likely won’t return.
The hotel has an excellent location, situated close to the town center while still being in a quiet area. The rooms are spacious and have been recently renovated, smelling fresh and new. Our check-in process was smooth, and we found parking conveniently right outside our door. The bathroom is large and well-equipped. On the downside, the bed mattress felt unstable and uncomfortable, and the pillows weren’t particularly cozy either, as they had synthetic filling. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the quality of sleep could be improved. Additionally, keep in mind that the hotel restaurant closes early for dinner, around 8 PM.
The prices have become far too high for the quality of food offered. We paid $21.95 each for lunch for two people, and received just one chicken breast each, alongside some cold, dry bread, a single piece of steak with gravy, and four very small bowls of barely warm vegetables. The drinks didn't come with refills unless we could catch a server's attention. For dessert, we had some dry, frozen pound cake and frozen strawberries. There were only nine other tables occupied, so it wasn't busy at all. It's evident that this restaurant has drastically changed, and after many years of visiting, we won’t be returning.
