My husband, son, and I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The pies were exceptional, and the food overall was delicious. The staff provided excellent service with a friendly attitude.

The food and service at this restaurant are always fantastic. They have a wonderful selection of dishes. The only issue is that the toilets need to be cleaned more thoroughly, as it detracts from the overall experience.

This was my first visit after the pandemic and it was as good as ever. It is my sort of pub, the beer is kept well and there is a choice of real ales. The food is excellent and home cooked The other customers are friendly and never make you feel like an intruder which happens in a lot of pubs. My ham, egg and chips were very tasty and the Eton Mess was wonderful I needea walk afterwards to work it off!

As usual the welcome was warm and friendly, I was dining with 5 other friends to celebrate a birthday. The lunch was excellent Ham Egg and Chips was my choice and was a good choice. There is always an atmosphere of friendly local pub about the Crown Sceptre which stands it alone from the usual corporate atmosphere of chain pubs and I would chose it over them every time.
