Bidra med feedbackSince time ago I have been a regular customer to the Aguachil, one of the best places for extraordinary sea food, Sinaloa style. Try the ceviche verde with tostada, the shrimp tacos are out of this world. The Marlin in tostadas is extraordinary. I love both locations in Cuernavaca and I have been told that they just open a Restaurant in Mexico City, hopefully we should visit them. Ask Karla for the banana pie, simply delicious.
We went to the Vicente Guerrero Ave. location and honestly got amazed for such a tasty food! The place looks modest, nonetheless you are not there for landscaping, but for delighting the palate, and that’s what you’ll get. The menu has plenty options, I will recommend an Aguachil with tostadas. Keep in mind that some Aguachiles are more spicy than others, ask the waitress for your preferred option. Also try the peanut sauce, an interesting alternative to the traditional chiles’ sauces. Prices were very reasonable and the service was great. A clarification: At least in that location they open from 11:00 to 19:00 hours.
This restaurant serves very tasty and well-prepared seafood in a Sinaloan style. It is not very fancy, but serves tasty food in a pleasant environment. I have been many times over the past five years and have never been disappointed. The wait staff are excellent, courteous and attentive. In my opinion the best dishes are the fish fillet culichi (white fish fillet in a creamy poblano sauce and the tacos surtidos (mixed seafood tacos . The prawns are also always well prepared. They serve you with a small complimentary jar of prawn caldo , which is seriously tasty (and fiery too! This restaurant has two branches. The branch on Vincente Guererro is smaller and not so appropriate for big groups, but they will always do their best to accommodate you. They have another branch on Av San Diego which is much larger and more elegant, and which at weekends has a room with childcarers (niñeras so if you have small kids it is great, they can wander off and play safely, they have clothes for dressing up and drawing material and they are always being watched, while you can relax and enjoy a peaceful meal. This restaurant comes highly recommended for food and service quality and if you are in the San diego branch, for elegance and family convenience too.
The food is very very delicious! Local resturant really worth visiting : The services is really good, helpful staff.
We went to the restaurant every six months for several years (from Mexico City) and the food was amazing, authentic and had excellent quality, we have family in Sinaloa, and el aguachil was a way to experience the food from that state without traveling. Then, we moved out of the country and for two or three years we did not go. On June 2013, we went back and we had a very bad surprise: bad quality of all seafood, no taste at all (before they used to get most of the ingredients directly form Sinaloa, not sure if they have changed the supplier or if they get them from a different place), shrimps and octopus overcooked, sauces with no flavor, and a 6 oysters dish with two of them spoiled, despite they changed them, we did not want to try them again, we were lucky not to get sick as some dishes tasted funny. On top of it, the tables were very dirty, dirt from several days or months hardly clean them, perhaps only superficially, with a cloth. We will definitively never go back, too sad as it used to be a good place.
