Labemi's Tavern - Crystal Lake

We had fried chicken Saturday evening with baked potato, coleslaw, bread and salad. Everything was outstanding and delicious. We definitely will be back. We both thought it was better than Crandall in Hebron.

Good food and great drinks! Tiff is one of the best bartenders there, absolutely love her.

Walked in with a group of people who were ready to drink and spend some money, all very outgoing and happy. being people who just moved down the street at the new apts, we were hoping for this to be one of our spots. unfortunately that will not be the case. we were immediately welcomed with a customer yelling well you better card all of these children . fine, yes we agree, do your job. and him saying that is not on the restaurant, but that just set the tone for the bartenders to then act the way they did. unwelcoming and rude. I asked for a drink after my ID was checked and he looked at me in the eyes and said ignored me and then asked someone else for their ID. I asked again, blatantly ignored again. everyone in my group saw it. my sister asked to close out bc we would not be staying and he decided to tell all of ya you guys gotta get out of here . ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE.AND this was not our first bad experience there. about a year ago for a birthday, we walked in with another group to sit and the bar and the bartender again looked at us and said, get out of here its dinner time . will never go back or recommend to anyone.

GREAT little place!!!! We were too late for food, but I hear that they have special meals on Tuesday nights. I am planning to go back on a Tuesday soon!!!! Parking: Sometimes parking on the street is challenging, but there is a big lot behind the place and I believe they have a back door entrance.

Nice, place. Walking distance from where I was staying. Waitress Stephanie was very nice. Duck wings were different. Good skin, dark meat, so I like chicken wings better. I choose perch for dinner. It was ok, but maybe I'm just not a perch guy. I'm not sure if I had it before, so that was fun; just like my 1st time with duck wings. Very relaxing place to go. I recommend trying it and making your own opinion. I think they said no food on Sundays and be there before 9 or also no food.
