Mirch Masala - Croydon

Terrible place. AVOID AVOID. My delivery to local area was VERY LATE because they did not have a driver...1st they cancelled my order after 45 minutes. ..then I was angry as I waited 1 hour. Then Delivery was Missing for 2 hours. Food was very cold. had to throw everything in the bin. I had to order different food from elsewhere. Customer Service Manager cannot speak English properly. I read all the reviews. Most of the customers have the same complaint. Do not Believe their FAKE positive reviews which are posted by staff and family friends etc. Disgusting Place. I've eaten here and the food was plentiful and nice. The service was lightning quick, actually too quick for a pleasant restaurant experience. Based on my personal experience, I would probably rate it 5 stars. The issue is the restaurant has had shocking food hygiene inspection reports from the council for many years and still not addressed them (the fines they have incurred can be Googled).

Service was not attentive. You are greeted to bottle of water on table is chargeable if opened. Watered down mint sauce. Toilets were flithy. The food was nice although way too oily. The saving grace was the price which was very reasonable

I’m just waiting here for my favourite dish, fish tikka masala, garlic naan and plain rice. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and still love it as ever. The tandoori dishes are delicious and the curries to die for. Just came back from India and Mirch Masala is so far the only restaurant that measures up! Although it’s a Pakistani cuisine :

Toilets are a disgrace to humanity. I wouldn’t let me dog use them. When I asked the manager he said that they don’t clean them often because they don’t want people to stay in them for too long. He seemed to think this was hilarious. No wonder they have a 1 star food hygiene rating. Look at the quality of the receipts they gave us. They have no shame and no standards. Which reputable business owner would keep their toilets in the state they do. Disgusting.
