The Oceanaire Seafood Room - Crossing

My husband and I had dinner at Oceanaire Seafood Room for our anniversary during our trip to Boston. Our server was amazing and made our celebration perfect. We both loved our food, drinks, and dessert.

Service was atrocious. Our waitress was extremely rude, my asked if she was okay and the waitress got belligerent. I asked to speak with the manager, who apologized on her behalf, and it became apparent he is incapable of running a professional establishment enabling such poor behavior. In a city with many options, this place was dead on a Saturday evening during prime time. I'm not surprised. If you're going to be rude and disrespectful to your patrons, you should just close down and lock up. Very poor. I would not recommend visiting this poorly run establishment.

Overall, the experience at Oceanaire this past Saturday night was, as always, wonderful. The food was fantastic and, mostly, the service was, too. But when we ordered another round of drinks with the maitre d' they weren't delivered. We had to re-order from one of the wait staff about 15 minutes later. In addition, unlike the last time I was there, it seemed the wait staff didn't know how to handle a larger crowd. They appeared a bit challenged by having to serve many more tables than during my last visit. Other than that, it was a charming experience.

The stuffed haddock was delicious and the seared ahi with sesame crust was spectacular....presentation of both were beautiful. The chef was very accommodating with my haddock as I am GF so he made a few adjustments...loved every bite. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. An all-around wonderful evening for our last night in Boston!!!

Every time I go here0, I realize this place is a hidden gem. It's also one of the only places that you can get Alaskan king, crab legs, which are absolutely fantastic. You must try to bake Alaska for dessert! Jesus was an absolute, fantastic waiter, we had a large party, but he accommodated all our requests in a timely fashion. Will return again soon!
