Sushi On The Strip - Cranbrook

I'd say this was the freshest sashimi I've ever had. Everything tasted great and was very well prepared.

Food is great. Super fresh. Our server was absolutely lovely…. And the food loves you back!

My friend, granddaughter and husband said their sushi was very good. They had spicy california, dragon (i think it was called), special vegetable and a tofu one I had the 10 piece tempura starter. Was lovely. For a main I chose the chicken teriyaki rice bowl. I deducted 1 star because the chicken was coated/breaded. It made the chicken hard . I would have preferred just seasoned chicken breast. And, I ordered coffee that tasted like it had been microwaved. My fault for ordering coffee from a sushi restaurant

Fresh ingredients- really the critical element for any sushi restaurant- and very fair portions are the biggest highlights. The texture and flavour of the staples (sashimi, nigiri sushi, maki, miso, etc. is spot-on; the rolls have solid ‘filling:rice ratio. My only comment, completely personal preference, would be leaving the sauce off of some rolls (eg. Rainbow and Dynamite , that taste great on their own without extra stuff. Overall a positive experience, we will be back.

The sushi itself is pretty good, but it's fairly expensive, portions are a bit smaller than what you get in other cities, and I think they forgot wasabi and ginger in my order (or maybe they charge extra for it? . Best sushi I found in Cranbrook, though tasty!
