Great vibe. Excellent food. Comfortable service. Sazeracs, Fish Tartare and Shrimp and Grits delicious. Fantastic Bread

I loved the grits and shrimp. That’s the standout dish for me! The banana pudding was also pretty dang tasty. And the hamachi tartar was fresh!

The place was very busy so a booking is a must. We arrived for the table and the table was not yet ready so we waited a little while outside. The person came outside to find us as soon as the table was ready. We started off with a glass of sparkling rose. This was unfortunate flat as it can be.. so it was quite disappointing. We had hamachi tartare and gumbo which were both generous portions and seasoned perfectly. We then had mole lamb and shrimps. They were cooked perfectly. The overall, nice atmosphere and one to visit.

My friends and I went here to celebrate a birthday. We were charged for double the amount of items we ordered/received. They said they can’t split check, I assume so you can’t call them out for quadruple charging.. so one friend used a credit card. She is STILL over a month later trying to get refunded for these items we never ordered and Amelie customer service just started blatantly ignoring her so she is disputing with her credit card. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. All that after being seated directly by the door without telling us that would be the case before we got there. What a smart scam to get money out of tourists and drunk people and young college students who wanted to get tf out of an annoying restaurant environment.

Very cute, quaint place. The server was very sweet and the food was great. My friend had the gumbo which was apparently the best he’s had and I had the shrimp and grits which I VERY MUCH appreciated that there were no shells on the shrimp. That’s real shrimp and grits!!
