Hana Moon Japanese - Coventry

We went and we was only people there food was served fast, per portion kinda expensive compare to other places, interior design is top class, can't really say much about the food as was ok but nothing out the ordinary It does have a karaoke but not sure when it's used

I'm starting to eat something at this place all the time. I like the fast service and well made dishes. they are never disappointed.

I decided to pop in here after I found myself at a loose end in Coventry one weekday evening. I'm going to be honest and say this was very weird. I was seated downstairs on my own far away from the chefs and with quite deafening dance music playing. Being there alone the service was highly hit and miss and I'm pretty sure they forgot about me at one point. Maybe the chefs were keeping an eye on me. I found out when I left they were shepherding their other customers to the floor above. The staff were polite enough when they interacted with me and I'd class the food as OK rather than anything special. The sushi was good though. But I'm afraid the combination of being the only diner and coming out deaf mean this isn't a place I'll be returning to.

Japanese food important things is FRESH. BUT I went to Hana moon on the 4 September 2017, I ordered the sushi and noodle, the taste was okay but the ingredient was not FRESH at all. It seems they put over 2 nights.

Well the staff were nice, when i asked for chilli oil and such it was brought to me. and the drinks were brought in a good time also, and the place was clean and well presented... However, mine and my friends food were brought to us at such massively different times his food was cold by the time mine arrived. the menu was very lack luster and the options were quite limited, and when the food got to us... i was tempted not to pay and just to walk out, the deep fryed prawns were vile as they were not drained properly after cooked so just soaked up the oil; making them greecy and generaly quite disgusting. The fried rice was rank, genuinely have no idea how you can get fried rice wrong when i make it at home a few times a week. and the odon noodles with chrispy chicken was bland and the only flavor to be found was curry powder... All in all this place was not sumwhere i would ever visit or like to send a friend too, the food ruined my evening. it is rare i leave any food on the plate as a body builder but we ate less than 20 of it leaving the rest, so this is a place to be avoided in my opinion.
