Le Vieux Grenier - COURMAYEUR

We have had lunch twice this week at Le Vieux Grenier on the terrace. You need to reserve. Excellent location. Excellent food and friendly service. Good prices as well. Highly recommended.

We stopped in for mid morning coffees and snacks. The coffee was great but the croissant were spectacular! In our group we had chocolate, apricot and cream. All absolutely delicious! And the prices were great for a mountain side spot.

We had lunch few times both outside and in.. excellent food, good selection of wines and friendly service.. Terasse is perfect on a blue bird day... altough reservation recommended. Very good value of money!

This piste side cafe/restaurant is just lovely. It’s everything you’d expect an alpine chalet restaurant to be both inside where it’s warm and cosy and outside where the tables have the most amazing views. The family who run it are so helpful and friendly and the food is delicious. Hot lunches, sandwiches, snacks, cakes, coffees are all excellent and very reasonably priced considering the location. It became our regular lunchtime stop having tried a few others.

The finest hot chocolate and lemon meringue we had during our visit. Since they only take cash, and we only had credit, the owners allowed us to dine and pay later. We are unfortunately ill today and will not be back to ski again. I am writing this review in the hopes of connecting with the owner to say that I promise to post the 16 euros when we return home to the u.s. Thank you for your generosity.
