Denny's - Cortland

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was unpleasant. The hostess was outside the front door smoking a cigarette and coughing without covering her mouth. She seemed annoyed that we were there and had to take us inside to be seated. After waiting 20 minutes without seeing a waitress, the hostess finally realized and went to find someone. When the waitress arrived, she had a poor attitude and it took another 15 minutes for her to come back and inform me that the item I ordered was unavailable. We ended up waiting another half-hour for our food, which was terrible. My eggs were undercooked, the bacon was thin and had no flavor, my toast tasted like it had been cooked in oil, and my pancakes were mediocre at best. My daughter took one bite of her sausage and immediately spit it out, and my husband's hash browns were soggy. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us to see how everything was or if we needed refills. There was no apology for the issues we faced. To top it off, when I went to pay, I was charged $60 for the worst breakfast imaginable for two adults and a toddler. There was also a pricing issue because they charged me for the original item I ordered, which they didn't have, instead of what I actually received. When we pointed this out, it was a hassle to get it resolved. After agreeing to refund one of the meals, my husband asked for a final copy of the receipt, and the manager was extremely rude, insisting that she had already refunded us. We were clearly aware of this since she had just handed us the cash a moment before. After explaining ourselves and going through more hoops, she finally gave us the receipt. Additionally, the women's restroom was absolutely disgusting. I will never return to this restaurant, and I highly recommend that you save your time and money and do the same.

We waited 45 minutes for our food despite there being five cooks in the kitchen. It was unsettling to hear the arguments between the cooks and the waitstaff, which felt very unprofessional. Moreover, another customer waited an hour and a half just for chicken tenders. We won't be returning to this restaurant.
