After a fall of intestinal problems, my 15-year-old granddaughter was in hospital for 13 days. After 11 days of intravenous feeding, she was finally allowed to have only soft food. She was a little down, understandable, with her illness and quickly on the 16th birthday. She was released two days before her birthday. During the visits of the nurses and a strict diet of “baby life” we had to follow the doctors instructions and could not give them “real food”. My daughter and I were going to be good for their health and well, especially with the birthday (and his very important day for young girls), because our original party plans had to be canceled and we had no backup. Our options were limited. We were worried. Today I am glad to say that after all the suffering she went through, our little teenager ended best place where she could finally be fed food that she could eat – soft food – of course Galore, And all in her own backyard, she found comfort with her HomeTown. The staff there, including Michelle, was great and very effective and helpful. They sang and dressed their unique version of the Happy Birthday song, who danced my granddaughter with joy and happiness. It was nice to see them again and again, laugh and eATING. Happy BIrthday Honey! So, now you know, take your older or sick and recover beloved out for a beautifully prepared house style meal where soft food is in variety and taste. It can be overcrowded and sometimes your favorite dish can go quickly – but wait long enough and they bring another heaping dish.
