Bidra med feedbackI visit every now and again, sometimes on my own on my motorbike or by car with friends. Always a friendly welcome, peacefulo and nicely laid out gardens and seating. Had a good chat with the proprietor, boats and fishing and made the world a smaller place with who and what we knew.
Blimey, what's happened here? We first visited Rosemergy about 4-5 years ago, it was so good we made an effort to return at the first opportunity. Perhaps my memory is failing me but I do remember there being Tea Pots, bowls of Clotted Cream and Jam, but instead we got individual Mugs of Tea (with milk already added) and plastic containers for Clotted Cream and Jam. So disappointed, therefore won't be returning.
Been coming to this hidden gem for years. Taking the coast road from St Ives the views looking out to sea can be breathtaking. Worth the trip for the 2 of the lightest scones you'll taste. Between the 2 of us a whole tub of lovely Roddas clotted cream topped the jam on our scones! Sat in the lovely garden, and enjoyed our cream teas. Will be returning again and again.
Despite the rain, we were determined to find Rosemergy! It can be a bit challenging to locate, as the sign outside only mentions 'cream teas', so make sure to turn around at the tin mine down the road. The car park is small, but we managed to find a spot. We were warmly greeted and enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden under a large umbrella. Our group included myself, my daughter, and my 7-year-old granddaughter. The scones were fluffy and delicious, and we didn't mind the big mugs of tea, although some guests have mentioned a preference for teapots. We had made a note to visit this place during our stay in Carbis Bay, and we are glad we did.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and have always loved the atmosphere, the delicious cream tea, and the friendly staff. However, I was extremely disappointed to find out that they have stopped serving tea in teapots and cups and saucers, and now use mugs instead. Please, Rosemergy, bring back the teapots!
