Bidra med feedbackFantastic special occasion Meal! My husband and I tried Hyeholde for the first time this weekend and had a wonderfully romantic and delicious meal. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Pittsburgh region and has the best ambience. We sat in an alcove upstairs and saw the fireplace and the main dining room. With separate coveted areas throughout the house it helps to feel the room intimate and cozy. We had a delicious meal carpaccio, steak, lobster all perfectly prepared! We will definitely return to Hyeholde!
Fantastic .... My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here the weekend following Valentine's day. My Filet was perfectly cooked and so tender I didn't need a steak knife. My wife enjoyed a lobster and pasta dish with a creamy fennel sauce that was perfectly spiced. The service was friendly and helpful, particularly with my beer selection as I am extremely finicky in that department. The charming decor and atmosphere are reminiscent of a medieval French country village or Lord's great room. Hyeholde is a great place for a special occasion meal.
Nice special occasion restaurant, interesting game items to chose.
Had an excellent experience at the hyeholde recently. Firstly the place is architecturally pleasing and extremely unique. Its literally an old castle with warm quaint dining rooms. It’s a bit like being stuck in a Chaucer tale. The motif is somewhere in between Canterbury Tales and Shakespearian era. The building is surrounded by beautiful well-kept grounds on a hill. They have their own gardens for herbs, fruits and vegetables and according to our waiter they even produce their own honey. The food was very good. We all had something different and everyone in our party was pleased. We all had three courses and a nice, well priced bottle of wine. From the bread, “scratch-homemade”, and olive spread all the way through the apps, salads and entrees, each part was as good if not better than the next. We were very pleased with the food. Not cheap, but delicious and the quality and the taste support the price. The service was very professional and our waiter Vincent added much to the experience. He was polite friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu, recipes and offered some key suggestions that were well received and eventually much appreciated. He crumbed our table and gave us new cutlery at each interval during the evening. In short, wonderful establishment. They are doing all things well, and the important thing to enunciate here is they have a property that is beautiful and unique. Its tucked away, but worth the trip. Very near the airport. If you’re even considering going, Go!
Hidden Gem. This place is truly a hidden gem in Pittsburgh. I call it that because 9 out of 10 people that I ask about it have never heard of it. The setting is spectacular, the food is excellent. I can't wait to go back and try a picnic basket or tea.
