Sushi Turn House - Coquitlam

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants and offers great value for your money! The sushi is simple yet tasty, and the owner and sushi chef is one of the hardest working individuals I know. I have been coming here for 15 years and have never seen him take a day off, not even on holidays. I would rather support him 100% than go to big sushi chains. While some may find the staff a bit reserved at first, they are efficient and warm up to you quickly, ultimately proving to be very friendly. The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the rice is fantastic - a key component to great sushi. My favorite rolls here are the dynamite roll and the crispy roll, and the sashimi is also reasonably priced with generous portions.

While I was doing my laundry at this strip mall, I decided to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and the service was attentive. The food was decent, but the portions were generous and on the pricier side. Convenient location for grabbing a meal while getting your laundry done. Overall, a satisfying dining experience.

I went to the restaurant with friends for lunch and we sat at a table in the back where we could see the sushi chef preparing. There were metal containers of pre-made wasabi and pickled ginger that were already opened. The chef moved back and forth between the prep counter and the cooking area without washing his hands or wearing gloves. When we asked for extra wasabi, the chef came to our table and put it directly on our food with his hands. Yikes! The food was decent, but the spicy tuna was mushy and not as expected.

We've been going to this sushi place since we moved into Coquitlam six years ago. The owner does not speak very well English, but always welcomes us with a smile and tries to speak with us and always makes us welcome. The...sushi makes him good and portion are quite big for his price. All in all large lil place, friendly and delicious fish....

We come here so much the owner knows our names...well, my kids' anyways. The portions here are more generous than anywhere I've been. The menu isn't extensive and if you're into fancy creations, then you'll not be back but for the basics, this is a...great place, at a great price. I think they even have the deal that if you place your order a day in advance, it's 10% off!
