Applebee's Grill - Conway

We went to this Applebees in Conway, SC on 8-10-24 for the wings, riblets and shrimp special. Our server was great and made sure we had everything that we needed. A+ for Amy! Now, at a table in the bar area, I observed several employees eating. They had food in little black to go trays and would come over and eat a bite or too. I though the must have been on break, but they were not. They would eat and then go to their tables and serve guests. The bar tender would do the same. It is doubtful that they washed their hands before attending customers. Employees at restaurants should never be eating while working.

They've had trouble finding good work, but the Pineville North Carolina establishment is incredible

I am not one to write bad reviews. But 3 strikes and you're out. The first time at this location we were charged $60 for a $30 dinner. And received an oops sorry didn't see that. Ok. Second time ordered pickup and was missing part of our order. Well, I figured it's been a bit and ordered through their app for pick up. Get the meal home (I live 5 mins away so it wasn't travel time) and it's cold. Not room temp. Not luke warm. From the refrigerator COLD. Spoke to the manager gave my info. Spoke to the General Manager. 20 mins of repeating myself and a condescending attitude and well we can give you a gift card speech. No thanks. I'm sure I'll get a reply of some sort. Their area director needs to look into what is going on.

Went out with friends for dinner here. Waited 10 minutes for a table even though there were plenty waiting to be cleared. Staff was too busy talking to one another to do it. Once we were seated, we ordered our beverages and an appetizer. Then, I ordered dinner. The waiter came over 25 minutes later to tell us he had messed up and our appetizer would be right out. Right. With our dinner. I had ordered EXTRA garlic parm sauce for my boneless wings (as my entree). There was literally one drop of sauce and ONE piece of shredded parm cheese on my wings. Finally got the waiter back told him I got no sauce on my wings that I had actually ordered EXTRA sauce. He proceeded to tell me that they don 't come with sauce, they are dry rubbed! I tried explaining that no, they come with sauce, I 've been eating them for years. He then started yelling at me, saying, Mommalove, you gonna tell me how they are made, when I work here? Half the restaurant was staring at him because he was so loud. I said yes, I 'm telling you they come with parm sauce. He, Armani, I think his name was, then walked away. Finally, we saw a manager walking by and flagged her down. We explained what had transpired, and she said, You are right, they DO come with garlic parm sauce. So she left and was walking to the kitchen and told the waiter, they are NOT dry rubbed. They come with sauce. The waiter, Armani, then picked something up and threw it across the bar area into the trash can shattering glass of some sort. Everyone in the bar area heard it and was commenting. The manager brought the sauce and also a cup of shredded parm cheese. Then Armani came to the table and picked up my husband 's half full glass of soda and slammed our checks down and the SLAMMED his glass down on top of the checks. We have NEVER been so disrespected by a server. Our friends said, Well, there goes his tip from us! My husband said the same thing. Now, usually, we and our friends tip 30% in cash because we all have children that are servers and bartenders. I actually DID leave $1 I sincerely hope Armani realizes that it was meant as an insult because of his horrific behavior. Needless to say, we won 't be going back to this disaster place. Does not deserve one star. Did not have any idea who our waiter was. Thought they had surely forgot us before they brought salad. The ranch dressing was so runny you could drink it. The riblet's was a joke. All bone and no meat. No refill on tea until we were ready to pay and get the heck out of this place. complete disaster and will never ever go back to this location. Need to close the door it's so bad with service and food and attitude of the three waiters we had. Requested our bill and a different waiter came and flopped it down without a word. We are 80 years old and never have we received service like this. wish we had gone to McDonalds!
