Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant is conveniently located across the street from Park n Shop in a standalone building with ample parking. I read that it used to be a Bakers Square, and some mentioned the old booths detracted from the atmosphere. The green windows do remind one of Bakers Square, and the etched glass featuring wheat doesn’t quite fit the Chinese decor, but there were no booths, and nothing about the building's past was a drawback. Upon our arrival, one of the restaurant staff greeted us warmly outside, and another held the door open for us as we entered. A friendly hostess seated us within moments. There were about three or four other tables occupied. A server immediately wheeled over a cart, offering us baked pork buns and garlic shrimp dumplings (the pan-seared variety). It was around 11 AM on Memorial Day, and we weren't sure how busy it would become; any seasoned dim sum lover knows it's a mistake to arrive too early. A series of servers with carts offered a pleasing variety of dishes. We sampled several items including a pork and ginger dish, a shrimp dumpling, shrimp noodles, pot stickers, and something else I can't recall. Everything was delicious! The tea arrived piping hot, and all the dishes were served hot, with a few too hot to eat right away. There was chili paste on the table, and someone brought vinegar. A few standout dishes included: - **Baked pork buns**: light, soft dough with a crispy, almost flaky exterior and generous pieces of delicious pork inside that were less fatty than typical. - **Ginger pork dumpling**: fantastic flavor! - **Pot stickers**: a non-traditional choice for us; the filling was delightful, made with ground pork and vegetables rather than a rubbery texture. - **Shrimp noodles**: served on an oval plate with three wrapped noodles surrounding shrimp, which the server cut with scissors before pouring sauce on top. The shrimp were the highlight—large, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The service was attentive and always friendly, meeting our requests promptly. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was as good as any neighborhood restaurant. We enjoyed so much food that we had to wave the white flag in surrender. The total bill came to $30.95 with tax (before tip). What’s not to love? Easy parking, friendly staff, great food, and no surprises on the bill. We will definitely be back. P.S. To the restaurant owner/manager: my only suggestion is that some of the dishes were a bit large, so we opted not to order them. For instance, the bindweed looked amazing but seemed to be enough for six to eight people, and we were just two. The same goes for the pan-fried noodles.
I recently visited Imperial Seafood Restaurant for dim sum and had a great experience. Our group included a vegetarian, and she found plenty of delicious options to enjoy, such as Kung Pao Tofu, vegetarian Hong Kong-style crispy noodles, and Gai Lan (Chinese broccoli). The rest of us indulged in a variety of dishes, including the tasty har gow (shrimp dumplings) and the Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, although the latter could have been juicier. Since I was with a large group, I didn’t take any pictures, but I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys dim sum and is in the Concord area. Imperial Seafood Restaurant is located at 1680G Willow Pass Road, Concord, CA.
This is the only dim sum restaurant in the area, and I appreciated the variety of dishes offered. The service was decent and not overly intrusive. However, they do tend to get quite busy on Sundays. There was a shortage of teapots during my visit, but I did receive my tea towards the end of my meal.
Pretty much the only dim sum restaurant in the area. I've come here a lot of times for the past 10 years or so for dim sum. The place is always busy. The food and prices are reasonable. Everything is pretty good. Our favorites are the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce on the side, salt pepper chicken wings, pan fried chives dumpling, deep fried shrimp ball, har-gao, siu mai, soft sesame ball and mango pudding. These are all must haves when we go and a bunch of other items. The employees can sometimes be hard to understand but over all we love this place. Parking can hard at times.
Wow.wow. The place was strong recommended and packed at the weekend. My friends and my family loves it. Never ,never, disappointed. My favorite appetizers are BBQ pork. Today, it’s warm weekend, we have enjoyed lunch time, relaxing freshness good quality and friendly staff.
