Bidra med feedbackDoes anyone know where Sunny went ??? My family went to this restaurant for years, this lady and her restaurant was super special to Compton. I hope she is up and running somewhere else.
This place needs to stay open. Some of the best food made in Compton. Mama is an angel, when I tell you her food is sooooo good, everything! I love the soup, kimchi, bbq ribs, rice everything is delicious. Mama is special i remember two year ago my husband and I were exhausted, my son then only 1 and half battling measles and respiratory infections, we bought food here, we were so exhausted and feared our baby was gonna end up in the hospital again, mama just came outside I was near the car carrying him and this lady blessed my child. Prayed over him and asked God to heal my baby. It was so random, so caring and beautiful, so unasked for im crying just writing this, man idk she just knew what was going on I guess, she looked me dead in the eye and said Baby will be better praise God! And she continued to make our food. My son did get better and I will NEVER forget her kindness and they yummy food. Thank you Mama God bless you
Great food and always served with a smile. Sunny makes you feel like you are just stopping by her kitchen and getting some fresh cooked food out of her kitchen.
I passed by this place a few times and it was just not registering in my mind that I am actually seeing Korean BBQ right by the 710 freeway and Alondra Blvd., in Compton... So one day, I decided to stop in and give it a go. The owner is the sweetest lady you can ever meet. She is no nonsense in her business but when you order, she 'll tell you all about her food and how she prepares it and how her rice is washed 3 times and she uses a different low starch rice and all kimchi is made in house by herself with her family recipe and not store bought and so on and so on. She 's awesome. I saw her take out the meat to grill and load up on my side dishes which I ate up. She brought out refills for the side dishes and made sure I was full which I was. The prices aren 't bad at all. The feeling I got was that I was actually eating at my aunt 's house with how she treated me and kept making sure I was full. (Except for the paying part, that is) The strip mall it 's in looks abandoned and I think she is the last business that is open. That 's fine, because it just means more parking for everyone who comes here. They used to have 4 tables in here but I guess it 's all take out now so I will have to figure out how to eat inside the car while parked around the area.
I've been coming to mama for the past 4 years. Her food is made with love and are very filling. I come here almost once a week and I've had about everything on the menu and I must say she never fails to please me with the amount she gives to how she makes you feel once you step in her restaurant. It'll be a very sad day once she closes her doors. Everyone better come try her food before she cannot anymore
