Katzinger's Delicatessen - Columbus

We ordered two vegan sandwiches and a delicious vegan potato salad at this restaurant. The 54 sandwich, which had spinach and artichoke hearts, was a bit dry, but the 55 sandwich with hummus, cucumber, and olives was a hit. My husband loved the house-made hummus and felt energized after the meal. The omnivore members of our family also enjoyed their food. The cashier was helpful in explaining the vegan options, but the table runner who brought out the food seemed confused about the sandwiches.

I highly recommend trying the spinach, roasted red bell peppers, and artichokes stuffed into a garlicky pita with a balsamic vinaigrette at this restaurant. It was delicious! I also suggest trying their dill pickle flavored potato chips - they are a must-have!

I ordered the #54 sandwich (filled with artichoke, spinach, roasted bell pepper, and tomato in a pita) along with the red potato salad (made with red potatoes, olive oil, and scallions). It was fantastic! The pita was packed with so many delicious ingredients that it was a bit difficult to eat, but the bread was done perfectly and had a warm, buttery oil inside instead of being dry with just veggies. Delicious! They also offer complimentary pickles from a barrel, which were also really tasty.

I got the #55 (pita w/hummus and veggies) expecting the usual sad pita sandwich experience where the vegetarian options are an afterthought. Happily, I was very wrong. The hummus was soooo good, the pita bread was flavorful, and the portion generous. I’m looking forward to trying their other vegan/vegetarian options.

Eating is good, but it's not worth waiting. my family of 4 stood in line to order 10 minutes. I understand. re busy, but then it was 20 minutes for our food. we ordered desserts and sandwiches. we ate the sandwiches outside because no insides. we thought we were all desserts because they were in a big bag. when we came back to the hotel and opened the bag, missing a piece of cake and a brownie. I called, and they reimbursed me for the cake and not even have the brownie on their entrance. the cashier repeated the order back to me and said everything, so I don't know what happened. eat good again, but not wait for sandwiches worth. we threw the pickles away because they had a strange taste and not like gurken.
