Bidra med feedbackIl Focolare has been a fixture in the nearby area during the pandemic. We ordered from them numerous times, and also supported their efforts in the community. They are great neighbors and they serve great food! Strangely we dined indoors for the first time ever. They have safety precautions that make us more comfortable. While I knew the food was great, I had no idea how much better the experience was in the restaurant. Pizza is just better out of the oven and on a plate than it is out of a box. We split the pizza after starting with salad and drinks. The Caesar was amazing. The service was amazing. We can?t wait to return now that they have indoor dining again.
I first tried Il Focolare about a year ago, and it quickly became my go-to pizza place. If you're looking for Neapolitan style, there is no better pizza in Columbia. The mushroom pizza is amazing, and I also love the brussels chevre and potato rosemary pizzas. Pay no mind to reviews from people that are just mad about their policies and probably have never actually even had their food. I have included some photos of different pizzas from different visits.
I don?t even know what to say. These slices of heaven were the best thing that have ever touched my taste buds. The best pizza I?ve ever had! We can from Charlotte to visit the zoo and got a pizza for the trip home and we were so lucky to find this gem. Anyone we go to the zoo we will come get a pizza! Heck I may even drive 2 hours just for the pizza. Thank you!!!
Really great food, maybe the best pizza in Columbia, but Way,way, way, way overpriced!!! $81.00 for 2, 13 pizzas, a salad we split, 2 drinks... It should have been maybe half of that total. don't think I'll ever go back.
While walking to Indah Coffeehouse, I stumbled on this hidden pizza gem in Columbia and planned to return (opens at 4 PM). My son and I returned and enjoyed the best pizza in Columbia! Be prepared for a cozy, eclecticly decorated restaurant. I had an opportunity to speak with one of the owners and listen to her story of how she and her husband moved from NY, opened Small Sugar, and this pizza restaurant. The pizza tasted fresh, authentic, and homemade. Be prepared for a small, quaint dining area. We ordered the white pizza with chopped pepperoni. The pizza tasted so amazing that we ordered one to take home as well.
