Pit Pony Hotel - Collinsville

Beautiful restaurant with excellent meals. seafood were not freshly prepared, which was disappointing (near bows and the availability of fresh local seafood), but steaks were great. good choice of crying and beating. would like to enjoy a meal here anyway!

Be not stupid: the pit pony burger does not contain pony meat at all. it contains, however, an almost indecent pure beef patty and about half the pork of speck. seriously good tucker and not expensive.

Had a visit to colinsville today to do something else. what a great place. After a look at the Mine Museum we have dived to the lunch @pitponytavern. what a great food, had the pitch pony burger, yum. staff very friendly. it was hot outside, the air-conditioned dining room was nice. If they're ever gone on this, they'll make sure they dive into lunch. they will not regret it.

What a fantastic pub . friendly service, excellent lunch and excellent value. local mining history represented in the lounge. not to miss.
