Arawan Thai Sushi - Cold Spring

The food was nice and they've recently reopened with the conveyor belt of sushi! They aren't kidding about the spice. Usually I go for 8/10 on my pad Thai but this 3 was hotter. My only concern was the sweet barnyard hay smell to the pad Thai.What really concerned me was the under staffing. The young lady was greeting, taking orders, bringing out food, and getting take out orders taken care of. She works very hard and deserves all the tips. A couple are working in the kitchen: One gentleman keeps loading the conveyor and an elderly gentleman occasionally bringing out orders.What bugs me is the guy in camo, sitting in the corner, on his computer or playing with the cell phone. After an hour he got up to clear a table. I don't understand why he's not helping the young lady ensure guests have drink refills and dealing with take away orders. Maybe he's the owner, but help out the staff where you can to keep flipping tables

Arawan just reopened with a conveyer belt sushi and it was a lot of fun. We came here for our sons 9th birthday. He loved being able to pick his food off the belt. They are a bit short staffed so patience is required. Also recommend making a reservation for the conveyor area

This was a good little Thai place. We dined in and the restraunt and restrooms were very clean. The decor is minimalistic and more refined than your standard Chinese takeout. I had the broccoli chicken with spicy level 1. I should have ordered a 0, definitely go with 0 if you can't handle Tabasco level spice. My husband got a spicy level 3 garlic chicken and I could not tell that his was spicier, they seemed like the same level to me. The food was very fresh, vegetables just a little undercooked. Aside from the crunchy veggies and spicy level one it was great. We also enjoyed the chicken egg rolls, crab puffs were okay I probably wouldn't get them again. Service was quick and friendly. I will certainly be back.

We were disappointed that the dining room was closed for repairs. Decided to do takeout and boy are we glad we did. Best coconut soup ever! Tuna salad was very fresh and delicious. Had red curry with lo mein also great. Ordered 0 heat and asked for extra heat on the side since I split with husband. Very large portion!

The food was delicious and service was excellent! The staff was very friendly. We ate the Sampler Platter, General Tsos Chicken, Orange Chicken and Lo Mein. All of it was amazing! I highly recommend the spring rolls too!
