Mamacitas Mexican Restaurant & Lounge

Me and a few friends went to dinner and were enjoying out meal. When our meal was done we were asked to leave straight away. We were barely done our meal and wanted to stay and visit for a bit. Had the restaurant been busy...I would of under stood and would not have needed to be asked to leave,but there was only one other table being used and one table of that came in as we were quickly leaving. There was a reserved sign on one other table but not ours when we came in or we would not have sat there. I was horrified that we were asked to leave with in minuets of finishing our meal. When I reported it to the manager she was not helpful at all calling me liar.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the appetizers are delicious. However, the steak had a tough texture reminiscent of a shoe sole.

First dinner in Paris. The owner was delightful. The food was perfect. Atmosphere friendly and kind. Highly recommend. I'll be back.

Had their Taco Sopa and it looked and tasted like Campbell's vegetable soup with a couple of meagre pieces of chicken and a pinch of cheese and a few taco chips. The beef tacos were a joke with a few strips of beef that tasted like they put hp sauce on it. Terrible excuse for a beef taco. I guess if this place is the only place locals ever ate Mexican food they'd think it was good. I cook way better Mexican food and I'd bet if I opened a Real Mexican restaurant in Cold Lake and the people got to taste real Mexican food then Mamacitas would be belly up in a month. It serves up a horrible excuse for Mexican food.

We love coming here! Whether my husband and I come to eat in or we order take out for the family, the food is great every single time. We haven't tried all the items on the menu, but my personal faves are the burrito, chimichanga and the pupusas. Delicious!!
