Love Thy Burger - Colchester

Bit of a mixed bag today. Menu is great and very reasonably priced, compared to other burger places, but now I think I can see why. I ordered the greedy burger (fried egg in a burger, you can seldom go wrong) When ordering, you’re given the option of how you want your burger cooked, I chose medium. Food just took ages to come out, when it did the drinks hadn’t even arrived, we’re talking 30-40 minutes for a burger, which I think is too long. When the burger arrived it was over cooked, for what I had ordered, closer to well done, and expectedly tough. don’t get me wrong it tasted okay, but it literally could have been a burger from anywhere, Wetherspoons quality at best. Waitress was rude at times aswell, which I’m putting down to the fact that it was busy. Given the cost, I would probably give it another chance, but this was a poor first experience.

We’ve had mother clucker and the greedy burger, it was the best one ever!!!!! Staff was very helpful and friendly, shake was really good! I’d definitely come back. The Best burger in town Highly recommended!

Nice burgers, but nothing memorable. Worth a visit if you're wanting something quick and reasonably priced. Chips are nice and a good sized portion. However the condiments were months out of date!

Nice enough restaurant and burger place. Is it the best burger ever no but it's solid and had nice servers. I had a beer as well not had one for a while I enjoyed it

This was our second visit to Love Thy Burger after having had an amazing meal there last year. And I'm sad to say it wasn't a patch on last year. Very average, nothing outstanding about the burgers at all this time. We had a better burger the following night from a pub round the corner.
