Bidra med feedbackGreat food, lovely friendly staff really attentive and very helpful in adapting dishes to suit. There's always a good atmosphere very lucky to have this restaurant so close to home
We were on our last night in Coin so after looking on Tripadvisor we decided to try Giacomo's as although it had a fairly small number of reviews, they were all good. So glad we did. The location isn't the greatest as it's on a main road and is opposite a local petrol station, but once you actually sit down outside it's fine. The staff were very welcoming despite the language barrier and as it was fairly early (around 7pm), we had our choice of seating. Drinks were served promptly and our order was taken for dinner. My wife and I had bruschetta (excellent) and my stepdaughter had a very nice foccacia. For mains, I had a Fruit Di Mare risotto and my wife had the parmigiana both lovely. My stepdaughter had the margherita pizza which was perfect much better than some of the awful frozen pizza's we'd had in other restaurants on this week's holiday. Unfortunately, the Cannolo was off for desert so we finished with two helpings of a delicious tiramusu along with a glass of limoncello and amaretto given to us by the owner with his compliments. Price was very reasonable and we couldn't fault anything, we will definitely return if we are back in Coin just nice simple Italian food but done well.
We have been twice and have really enjoyed the food there, pizza’s, spaghetti fruits de mare absolutely gorgeous could eat that all day everyday, kids loved theirs too, staff lovely, couldn’t fault anything, our new favourite place.
Simple spectacular. never fails. all well and well served. One for Mr. giacomo, we will always repeat it, always.
Oh dear, this really was not a good experience. The restaurant appeared to be quite understaffed and the man who I assumed to be the owner was not very approachable and somewhat unfriendly. The service was very slow. The young waitress was clearly trying her very best but she did not appear to have much support. When eating out as a family I expect the meals all to n=be served at around the same time. Two of the family had pizzas, and two more had pasta dishes. The pizzas were served some 20 minutes before the pasta meaning that they were virtually finished before the pasta dishes arrived. No apology was given. As for the food....the pizzas were not good. In fact one of them looked like part of the crust had been cut off before it was served! The base was overcooked and the toppings were quite tasteless. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were quite nice. Particularly the seafood pasta. Whenever we wanted to order more drinks we had to try and attract the attention of the serving staff and this wasn't easy. As mentioned earlier, the place was understaffed. I doubt I'll be returning.
