Dairy Queen - Coaldale

We stopped by for some burgers yesterday. My wife's burger was good, but my mushroom burger was lacking. The management should work on cutting costs as there was very little mushroom sauce on mine. Disappointing compared to my previous experience there. Not worth the price.

This restaurant is smaller than most Dairy Queens, but the service was very friendly and the portion sizes seemed slightly larger, much to the delight of my grandchildren. The floors and bathrooms were clean, which was a nice surprise.

I bought an ice cream birthday cake for my granddaughter and she found a quarter-sized sharp piece of plastic in her piece of cake. I took it back to the store and was sure the manager would call me. It was 3 weeks and no call back. I don't need compensation, but I want to make sure that nobody else happens.

After trying out the mayor Magrath South DQ in Lethbridge, where the large deck was only half filled, it was a refreshing change to visit the one in Coaldale. The staff here is friendly and welcoming, despite the smaller size of the restaurant compared to others. However, it is well-maintained and cozy.

We went here for my dad's birthday and had ice cream. Great service, friendly staff and as always outstanding ice cream!
