Gordons Cafe - Clovelly

We went here for Brunch around 11.00am on a Sunday morning. It was great, we both ordered the same thing which was the Gordons Stack. Bacon, Avocado, Tomato, Fried Haloumi, Poached Egg with Hollandaise Sauce on Toast. Great little Café!

The only thing lacking was the food took a while longer than expected. The staff were lovely though, great service. Food tasted great as did the coffee. Would recommend and would definitely go back

Walking past Gordon’s after dinner closeby, we noticed that it was still open so popped in for a drink. Quite excited that they had a David Hook wine (one of my favourite Hunter Valley wineries) as one of their five red wine offerings! But ... when I ordered a glass was told that they didn't have any "due to a delivery issue with a local carrier" and they actually only had two reds. Ordered one of those which was fine.Luckily the draught beer and a glass of sparkling fit the bill for my friends and the service was very good. However, it has a very white and black decor, with no decoration and bright white lighting. Asked if they had dimmer switches? “No .. the stark look was what they were aiming for”.Hmmmm ... unfortunately, a little too stark and non-atmospheric for me to want to return for dinner; perhaps another glass of wine at some stage, particularly when the David Hook is back on the menu ..

I was staying at my sister's house for the weekend so we thought we would just go up the street to try out Gordons. We had done some online research and thought it was the best place to go we wanted to have lunch but with breakfast options too so that worked out cause they offered breakfast all day. We managed to get a table outside without booking so that was helpful. There was so many good lunch options to choose but then I decided to get the 6 hour cooked lamb salad the lamb and the sauce was the most delicious. All the meals that came out looked delicious

I went with my family recently and had the beef burger for lunch. This was delicious! All the meals are tasty, generous portions, and the coffee is great! It's great on a sunny day to sit outside or in the lower section by the window with the bench seat! Staff are always friendly and welcoming!
