Zanzibar Express (z Express) Glenvillage

They get 3 stars only because it is the express location and there is some leeway. First off, I can make better collards on my worst day. Second, my wife's yams would make them stop trying to sell what they offer. Third, the honey glaze chicken really just tasted like they put some sweet and sour sauce from the store on it. It's hard to find real good soul food in this city, but we will keep looking.

I visited Zanzibar Express for the first time, and it was delightful! I ordered the salmon salad, which was delicious. The restaurant is clean and situated in a pleasant area for dining. Although the menu is somewhat limited, everything is prepared to the high standards of Zanzibar. I’m giving it 4 stars because I wanted fried turkey chops, but they only offer them grilled at this location.

The chicken was dry, the mac and cheese was greasy and watery, and the portions were very small. Aside from the house potatoes, everything else tasted like it was two days old. Considering the prices you're charging, this is really disappointing. Please improve your standards!

I attended a recent event at this restaurant, and I was impressed by the delicious food and wonderful staff. I also heard they will be reopening full-time in December, and I can't wait!
