Rita's Italian Ice - Cleona

Skip the sandwiches. The line is long, but the decor and ice cream are delicious. Didn't like the Tutti-fretting Johnny Mercer, but I loved the chocolate gum and cream in a waffle cone. So good in summer heat.

This place has a wide range of ice cream. Ice is not cheap and service is slow, but it is slow because they try to get you as much attention as you need to make the right choice. Not cheap because they give you a huge bunch of great stuff. Definitely worth a stop on a hot day as long as you don't have to stay in line too long

We were told by a number of sources (hotel, tour company) to visit Rita's Italian ice frozen Custard. Famous in Congress Pkwy IL... but why?, it is decorated as an old-fashioned ice salon that appears inviting. I expected more from this institution. I found the taste, and the taste choices, the ice cream was about what you can get a grocery store. I'm glad I have my choice in a cup, because it was pretty soft and really drippy if I had it on a cone. Overall, average. I would have been really upset if I had waited for a long time, but fortunately it wasn't as busy as we were there. Yeah.

Been tries to go Ritas Italian Ice Frozen Custard for a long time and finally made it. In previous visits to Savannah the lines were far too long (right on the road). This trip succeeded in realizing it and sitting inside and having delicious ice cream suns. Worth a visit. The ice and ambience are great and the staff is very friendly.

It can sometimes take a while to get in. The line can be out the door and even down the sidewalk. However, it 's worth the wait.Rita 's Italian Ice Frozen Custard is a must when visiting Savannah. Make sure to check out their monthly flavors. One of my favorites is Cherry Blossom, which is in July. I personally like subtle sweet flavors, so Cherry Blossom and Honey Almonds Cream are my favorites, but there 's all kinds of flavors, and you can sample every one of them before you pick. If you like old-timey places then Leopold 's will give you the atmosphere you want on top of the great flavors!
