Mabel's Pizza Shop - Clearfield

Beautiful small walkable window pizza shop hidden at the eastern end of clearfield, pa. could have used a bit more garlic on the white pizza. but the overall taste of both pfefferoni and white was delicious. I enjoyed the crust. friendly staff. hidden gem of my opinion.

Delicious! it's simple, but somehow one of the best pizza you'll ever eat, if you never had, you have to try.

Loved everything about it. Curiously crunchy crust, savory sauce, delightfully browned cheese. I love how places like this are strangely placed in the middle of neighborhoods in PA. Wonderful pizza, friendly service. Cash only, carryout only. Don't let the fact that there's a pickup window on the front of a house in the middle of a neighborhood deter you. I'll detour 100 miles to eat here again. There was a steady line of people picking up as I waited. You'll know you're close when you can smell it. (About a mile away)

Driving back to NY from OH, Mabel's is worth a short detour off I-80. Crisp, square, pan pizza with excellent dough, punchy oregano in the tomato sauce, and nicely browned cheese on top. So satisfying on the rest of the drive! Don't let the folksy pick-up window on the porch of a house fool you if this were in DUMBo, there would be a line around the block.P.S. cash only

Always great pizza and strombolis! Been going there for DECADES! Never have I been disappointed, never. In 40 years that's saying a lot!
