Bidra med feedbackThree stars only because I was all hyped up to try Billy's and when I pulled in, found them closed when advertised as being open. Will try them on my next trip through the area.
The food was decent. Some of which was disappointing only due to personal preferences. The orange juice was full of pulp, of which I'm not a fan, although many people are. The home fries were nice, big chunks of potatoes, as home fries should be. Unfortunately, instead of grilled with butter, they were deep fried, which was disappointing. They also have the skins on. I'm not a fan of skins on my potatoes. My eggs were cooked to perfection. My toast was brown and way too crunchy on the top half but soft and white on the bottom half so I'm thinking perhaps there's an issue with the toaster. The bacon was cooked perfectly but was rather expensive for a side dish. The wait staff was friendly but only checked in once to refill coffee so you pretty much have to go up to the window to ask for anything you need. When paying for my meal, I was charged a couple of extra dollars than what the check showed. When I questioned the waitress about it, she said that there was a charge for using a credit card and that she thought it was 3.8%. I looked around and asked why there was no sign to let the customer know ahead of time about the extra charge and she rummaged through stacks of papers piled up beside the cash register and pulled out a card and turned it toward me to show me the charge. Had the notice been displayed, I would have just paid cash. I don't think it's right that the extra charge for card payments is not posted so customers know ahead of time of the added expense. Overall, the food was okay, the service was friendly but less than adequate, and the atmosphere was small and diner-ish.
The fried chicken and potato wedges are out of this world!!! The homemade chili was fantastic. The house made coleslaw is a secret recipe and excellent. Service is friendly and so helpful. This is a must stop!
Food is good . If your looking for a small town mom and pop spot this is it . Pricing is ok . Not fond of charging u extra to use a credit card when u r spending 40 or 50 on a family of 3
We stopped yesterday and I had the pig and sour crut with potatoes and it also came with a hot dog and a piece of keelbassi and a cabbage roll and apples. Everything was delicious and tasteful as made at home, even the apples! Good prices and friendly staff and it is not nice, but we are not, but it is clean and a great place for breakfast and lunch. We'll be more common, even if we're in Reynoldsville.
