We stopped in at Coal Mountain on our way to the eastern part of the state. Staff was friendly, professional and fast. The bar was family friendly. Food was OK. Hubby's chicken club was good. The Philly cheesesteak had a cheese that was similar to Velveeta. Staff was great.
There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. It took an hour to get a burger. My water was never refilled. I suggest trying Ellensburg this is the only option when going over the pass late in the day/ except Mc Donald’s Keep on trucking and pack a lunch! When the food did arrive, it was okay. They received a 15% only because I left my card and my daughter signed. I would have left them a penny in the glass. It shows that you didn’t forget. Service: Dine in
We were looking forward to a great burger since that's what we got last summer. This time... what a disappointment. We got two classic burgers with no special instructions. Both came at the same time but one was medium or better and the other was very rare. The buns were overly grilled to the point of being crispy like toast. And the fries... cold. They replaced the fries with a hot batch but they were pretty greasy. Time to replace the fryer oil? The cook? or perhaps both? It seemed like a completely different experience compared to last year. They did seem understaffed... two people running the whole place.
The food was superbly made. It’s good to know of a gem. This is one of those. I drive over 50 miles one way. Worth every mile. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Cheeseburger and Fries, Mushroom Jalapeno Burger, Fries, Any Burger
