Clara's Country Cafe - Clanton

We had a fantastic meal with delicious catfish on Saturday night! It was even better than the fish we tried in Destin, Florida. The southern-fried chicken was incredibly crispy without being greasy! The food is excellent and very affordable. Ron, our server, was the friendliest person we've ever met, and we never felt rushed. It was a great atmosphere to just relax and enjoy the view of the University of Alabama and Auburn University Memorial. Overall, the drive from the interstate is definitely worth it!

Yummy! If you have believed, South food, where you can taste love in food, this is the place to go! the best roasted chicken ever! and ooohhhhhhhhhh is the cornea of crack AWESOME!

MUST VISIT!!!. Clara's Cafe has the best food in the world! Also the staff is always excited to see everyone and always greets with warm smiling faces. Prices are very affordable. My children who eat practically nothing love the food here. Once you visit, you will be sure to go again and again!

Stopped in for a quick bite while working in the area. It was late in the afternoon which helped me understand the slim pickings left on the lunch buffet. There was plenty of fried chicken a d let me tell you it was delicious!! The sides were mostly the ends of the pans so they weren't optimal. I definitely look forward to coming back because you can't beat it especially for the price!

Great value for an all-you-can-eat experience. It was fish night, and the food was delicious. The restaurant is locally owned and serves home-cooked meals. Just keep in mind that they only accept cash or checks, as they don't take credit cards. I gave it a 4-star rating because it's a bit run-down, but the tasty food makes it worth it for me.
