Olive Ridley's - City of Plattsburgh

- **Spinach Artichoke Dip:** This was comparable to what you might find at a discount store, using cheap tortilla chips and frozen dip that is microwaved. It was well below average for a bar's spinach artichoke dip. - **Fish and Chips:** We asked our server if this was a good choice, and she assured us it was. Unfortunately, a significant portion of the fish was burnt, making it below average for bar food. The fries were just acceptable. - **Chicken Sandwich:** This was a decent sandwich for a bar setting but nothing exceptional. The most disappointing aspect was the service. Our server took our orders but didn't return to our table until 40 minutes after we had finished eating. She didn't check in on us or ask if we wanted another drink during that entire time. The dining area was moderately busy, yet we noticed customers who arrived after us being served and leaving before we even had a drink filled. If anyone asks for recommendations for dining in downtown Plattsburgh, I would not recommend Olive Ridleys. We won’t be returning.

I visited the restaurant for drinks and to listen to the band. I managed to grab a table while my wife went to the mostly empty bar. She returned in fifteen minutes with our drinks. When it was my turn to go to the bar, it was still empty. The bartender turned his back to me and, while serving other customers, casually said he would attend to me next. However, instead of serving me, he took a sip of his own drink, checked his phone, and then walked to the back. That was the last straw for me. I won’t be coming back.

The atmosphere was quite peaceful, and the building could benefit from some maintenance. The service was relaxed but friendly. Although they were out of simple syrup at the bar, they did have a good selection of beers on tap.

Mids, nothing leaves a big impression besides the prices

You must have the Canadian meat pie.! Clam chowder was amazing.! Bangers and mash jam up !!! Tacos were righteous.
