Bidra med feedbackGot the Snake Bite Pasta. Hot and spicy pasta served with peppers, onions and grilled chicken tenderloin on top of the pasta. Portions were good and service was great. The decor was Old West Style. Even had a picture of Doc Holliday. If we ever visit the area again we will be back.
After a morning of softball at the fields we were looking for someplace for lunch- yelp identified we were close to Hammer back Bar and grill so we headed over- The restaurant is across from the bowling alley- looks like a fun place!! The restaurant is rustic- looks like a country bar- relatively wood etc- outdoor patio with lawn games-menu is standard bar food- burgers were tasty- kids loved the pretzel appetizer! The restaurant was open for a special event but they had limited help/staff. Which is why I'm only giving 2 stars- when it was time for the bill it took forever- we were over charged- a YELP check in coupon was difficult to redeem- when we told the server we had a 5 hr ride home and needed to go her response was less then ideal
Great staff at the bar (Lacy). Cold glasses for the icy cold Yuengling on draft. Monster burgers are only $6.99 on Mondays, with a side. Plus, you get a chip, like a poker chip, to get $3.50 off on your next visit. Clean space, not too noisy, games on TV, mixed crowds. Overall, a good dining experience.
I went here for the first time with my wife. This place is really cool with a bowling alley to boot. The service was great as well as the decor and vibe. My wife loved her jambalaya with the smoked sausage. I had the crawfish dish which is outstanding. Our server was very attentive and kept checking on us. I would highly recommend this place for its service and food!
Went there for lunch with my girlfriend on 4/14/18 at 1PM. Ordered the snakebite pasta for me, a Doc Holiday for her as well as a Bavarian Pretzel appetizer, Pepsi and a Sam Adams tall draft. Started off by being shown a list of 12 or so drafts that they were out of by the waitress when I asked what they had on tap... OK, I can work with that, after all they still had Sam Adams Summer so I am good to go.. ordered a tall draft. Unfortunately it was almost room temp when I got it. $6.48 for a tall warm beer But hey, not the worst thing that 's ever happened, and I was thirsty so I did drink it. We waited quite a bit for our app to come didn 't time it so know idea exactly how long , but we had noticed that they were serving a funeral party/reception or whatever the PC term is for one of those on the other side of the building and just assumed the kitchen was slow from that, but then again how long does it take to microwave three pretzels and put them on a plate? Added to that is the fact that they are listed on the menu as coming with beer cheese . They actually came with a coarse ground mustard and a small container of plain nacho cheese. Again, no big deal, I ordered them because I like the pretzel, not so much the dip, but when they finally made it to the table the waitress told us your order will be right out and she meant it! She literally walked back to the kitchen and came right back with our meals. Maybe its just me but when I order and appetizer I assume that it will come before the meal, something quick to snack on while the rest of the order is being prepared....not here, you get it all at once. Have to admit my girlfriends food looked great, nicely cooked, fries were done well not soggy, not overdone she said it tasted good too! A+ there . Unfortunately my pasta was overly salty and swimming in some weird orange grease that I can only assume was the cheese or possibly whatever the onions and peppers were wilted in. I tried a couple bites of the pasta and passed on the rest, just didn 't have the nerve to attempt the chicken or vegetables in the dish. While I was away from the table our waitress asked my girlfriend if I would want a box for the basically untouched pasta shouldn 't that be my choice? Nothing against her personally, she wasn 't to blame for any of the multitude of little failures that made the whole experience lousy. And yes, she did get a 20% tip On the way out I happened to see the owner?manager? and had a short talk with him, told him exactly what is in this review and found out that the bartender who pulled my warm beer knew that there was a problem with the refrigeration system and that there was a service guy there working on it at the time.... why the hell would you not tell your customer that when the order went in? So all told we paid $40.22 for a chicken philly steak sandwich Doc Holiday and fries and a Pepsi with one refill and the rest was a write off. Certainly not the experience that I would have hoped for and certainly not what I hope those of you who read this get either.
