I cannot believe this place has a Michelin star.The restaurant literally stank like sewage, the food was incredibly bland and uninteresting and usually cold, it was clear they use the cheapest ingredients they can find, the tables were so wobbly that we had it move seats, we notified the restaurant that one of our guest was gluten intolerant and they made literally no accommodations until we arrived and had to thoroughly explain what gluten free meant, flatware was dirty, the drinks took an absurd amount of time to arrive, the waiter was clueless about the menu, the music was awful, the interior is in terrible shape. I would be totally fine with most of this if it was a cheap diner or something, but this is a very expensive Michelin starred place. They should hold themselves to a much higher standard….
Lobster dish was the only delicious one and I was quite disappointed by the concept and taste of others. Didn’t feel like it was anything special and portion sizing in picture is for two, so not that
Interesting food with some Asian influence. We got the prix fixe. I enjoyed the creative dishes but I think they could've pushed the flavors a bit more. For example the salt and pepper lobster in the lobster 3 ways dish was interesting but could've had a slightly more intense flavor like the salt and pepper street food in Taiwan. I loved the pasta dishes and the everything brioche.While I loved the plateware and the general vibe was not bad, I do think the place was very loud and it was difficult to hear my boyfriend even though we were at a small table.
Came here because of a friend’s recommendation, and it did not disappoint. This Michelin star restaurant lives to the hype.My favourite where the oysters I am not normally an oyster person), a little salmon sandwich and the dessert.Also do not forget to get a cocktail!!Great service and chill atmosphere.
I’m not sure how they have a Michelin star. The service was ok but the food was questionable at best.We went for A la Carte and had trouble deciding on what to order despite the VERY small menu, so we started with only a couple dishes. When the appetizers arrived, we were quite disappointed and decided to hold off on ordering more.The cucumber dish had surprisingly squishy cucumbers which I didn’t enjoy since I’m used to this dish featuring crisp fresh cucumbers in the more traditional version. The flavouring was a bit strange as well, but I mostly did not enjoy the texture since it reminds me of when I accidentally freeze and thaw cucumbers by setting my fridge too cold.The everything brioche had fresh and yummy ingredients but I also did not enjoy the way the flavours combined even though each individual portion of the dish was good on its own. The bread to sauce ratio felt off (too much miso egg paste) and the flavours of the brioche itself overpowered the trout, cream and salmon roe on top. Still, the brioche broken down was my favourite part of the meal, even if I felt like it was not meant to be eaten that way.We held out hope because the lobster dish seemed to be their specialty, but it left a lot to be desired. The fried portion was dry and tasteless, the steamed rice was oily and heavy and the tail in sauce had a mushy, almost mashed potato like texture which I hope was due to cooking method and not freshness but made me uncomfortable nonetheless.All in all, we didn’t enjoy the few dishes we tried, so we did not order more and left hungry. Luckily we were able to walk into a different restaurant down the street (another Michelin starred restaurant, surprisingly, had bar seats available), where we enjoyed the food a lot more.
