Plaza Express Deli - City of New York

Always consistent and always delicious. The guys here are great and the selection of snacks, drinks, and candy is excellent. Oscar makes a mean pastrami egg and Swiss on the grill and the cashier is nice as well. Definitely recommend.

There are lots of corner stores and deli's in Queens, but I was just getting off the train and Plaza Deli presented itself. It is an unremarkable looking interior and I was just going to grab some snacks but i saw they had a pretty extensive sandwich menu. I grabbed the honey turkey wrap and assumed it would be a standard boars head turkey wrap with avocado, but it was much more impressive. The wrap maker took his time to cut fresh avocados and sliced up the meat, before grilling the wrap. It was filling and delicious. The hot wrap with fresh veggies and meat was delightful, and the best wrap I have had in years. There are lots of delis but Plaza Express is a hidden gem to grab a great sandwich on the go. Don't be fooled by the unremarkable appearance!

The Chicken Parmesan roll was incredible! The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly! Highly recommended!

I visited New York for the first time and was in search of a good sandwich spot near our hotel. After hopping off the train, I was fortunate to see this place just across the street. The reviews were excellent, so we decided to check it out. The cashier and the cook were really helpful with their recommendations. I tried the Philly cheesesteak, which was delicious and only $9—half the price of other places we had considered. Overall, I would rate the food and service as an A!

The customer service is outstanding, and the staff is familiar with their regulars. When you walk in, there's a 90% chance they already know what you’d like to order.
