Bidra med feedbackNo reservation but we were seated and served swiftly . Nice atmosphere , loud music and staff friendly . Menu all read well so was hard to choose . The £20 per head platter solved the problem a bit of everything, minimum of 2 needed to order it . Generous but not overwhelming portion sizes , meat tender and tasty . Good coleslaw .
Our lunch here is hard to rate. The ambience is nice (downstairs looks better than upstairs). The staff were really friendly but spent much of the time chatting to each other at the bar. The wings and mac n cheese starters were mediocre. The burgers were excellent, the milkshake and icecream were superb. The burnt ends and ribs combo had dry burnt ends and very bland ribs. The chips were kebab house standard but chips are chips i suppose. But is was cheap at £100 for 3 in Soho. Worth popping in because it wasnt full but i wont rush to return with so many other options in Soho.
American style smokehouse that serves Burgers, BBQ ribs and wings!! Does exactly as it says on the tin!! You B won’t leave Bodeans feeling hungry and if you do you most likely ordered the wrong fish!! Great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly! We didn’t book but they arranged for a table within 45 minutes. Left our number went to a bar and 30 minutes later we’re back ordering food!
Where do I start? Being an BBQ enthusiast, I was very much looking forward to some BBQ in December with so many months passed since I could smoke a proper brisket back home. I learned from the organizer that the restaurant wanted three days ' notice to serve brisket, this was encouraging seeing it takes a good while to cook one. Oh boy, was I disappointed. They served the brisket with the flat and point separated, nothing wrong with that if it wasn 't put on two separate tables. When I asked the waitress if they had indeed put flat on one tray and the point on the other, she more or less snorted the it doesn 't matter it 's all brisket . I tried pointing out that they are completely different, but she would not have it. The three days of cooking they requested, I don 't understand either, seeing it was undercooked and dry, with hard fats with little to no rendering at all. We also got dried out ribs, chips bathing in cheese and burnt ends that competed with coal I texture and dryness. The pulled pork was very good though, that 's why this review is a 2 and not a 1.
I was surprised by the recent negative reviews. I rarely bother to leave a review but this was worth it. Would have been 4.5 if that was possible. Burger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, although a few more burnt ends and a bit of coleslaw would have got a 5/5. Staff were great, seated ordered and served quickly but not rushed. Ice cream and beer were also good quality. I enjoyed the music and atmosphere in the bar. Price is fair and better than I expected for its location. I will return if I am here anytime soon.
