Bidra med feedbackLasca's doesn't disappoint. We started with nice warm, soft rolls, butter and tomato oil. The tomato oil was very tasty and perfect for dipping the bread. I got the house salad and my friend had the Caesar. Her small Caesar was nice size. My small house salad was nice and fresh with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers but there was very little lettuce. I was surprised because portions are large! The house dressing was delicious and sweet. We both had the Chicken and Shrimp Dijon. Lots of beautifully sauteed chicken, fresh mushrooms and 4 large shrimp. The sauce was plentiful and had that nice Dijon flavor. I had a side of perfectly cooked fresh spinach and my friend had brussel sprouts. We finished with freshly brewed decaffeinated coffee. Service was tops! Nicole was there with everything we needed, and checked frequently to see if we needed anything and to see how our meals were. Wednesday at 5 the restaurant was already filling up!
Yesterday my daughter in law ordered some foods from Lascas in Auburn for a birthday party. We enjoyed sausage with onions and peppers, chicken Marsala, and broccoli Parmesan. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I've been there for dinners, and it is definitely a place to put on your dining checklist.
Only our 2nd visit since 1995 and it 's still busy. We loved the food then. A pleasant bar setting and dining rooms with tables spaced apart enough. First came the nice, warm egg shaped rolls, but with only butter, no dipping oil. The Chicken Lasca came as a thin slice of chicken breast stuffed with lightly smoked ham (small cubes, as usually seen in diners , Swiss cheese fresh broccoli (finely chopped? . Not very satisfying. It came with an average baked potato. An antipasto was large with enough good things in it. Mixed greens with imported meats cheese tossed in vinaigrette. The special fried chicken with eggplant was the most disappointing of the night. It was HUGE and topped with a little melted cheese and sauce, but I had to take most of it home to disassemble it to see what was what. I believe it was one or two layers of thin slices of breaded chicken breast, topped with two ¼ slices of breaded eggplant and maybe more cheese. It tasted good, but for $30+, breading should not have been the prime ingredient. This came with a dish of angel hair pasta topped with a yummy, but not quite enough, smooth red sauce.
I havr never personally ordered from or been inside this restaurant, but I definitely plan to. I have, however, had their catering. The food had good variety and was fresh and hot. The salad was crisp and tasty, the lasagna mouth wateringly good. And my favorite of all, the meatballs! They were HUGE and so flavorful! They did a fantastic job with providing the food for my work lunch and family events! The place looks a bit more upscale and calming.
