Bidra med feedbackTime and time again this place never fails for the best cafe in town. Since the business was taken over, it's been turned around with great staff, food and coffee. Beautiful spot with a good outlook and great prices.
Since Remi has come under new management the food, service, and most of the coffee has improved tremendously. I recommend everyone go and try it.
Went with 3 other business colleagues for lunch. I had the warm chicken salad, which was good. Likewise, colleagues where happy with the coffee and their meals. Food a is slightly more expensive than what is available from other nearby cafes, but price is still reasonable. Customer service was atrocious and despite the many positives I would never go back or recommend Remi to anyone. All four of us after not receiving any table service ordered separately from the counter and attempted to pay separately with the rest of walking lunchtime crowd. Because we choose to dine in, they told us to pay later. When the four of us attempted to pay at the end we discovered a small sign next to one of the cash registers 'no split bills'. Fair enough, 'no split bills', is common, despite how easy it is for food outlets to do this. But at no time was it indicated there were no split bills and nor was it stated on table menus. So we compiled our cash to pay as a group. On pointing this out as a minor issue with the service, we were told by a middle age portly man I suspect to be the owner to "Go f___ yourselves". On replying that that was completely inappropriate reaction, we were further told to 'Go stick it up your a__". The man, then slammed the cash register draw closed failing to give us our due change. This is the worst service I’ve ever received from any service organisation.
I found this place quite by chance during a trip to Canberra and was so happy I did. The coffee is amazing, very friendly staff and the breakfasts are excellent quality and value
I had dim sum with my relatives at Omei Restaurant.
